Radio Frequency Interference (RFI)

Every sound heard in this piece is RFI, specifically caused by electronic household appliances (like treadmills, light dimmers and TVs). Here’s where I got them: www.arrl.org/household

I don’t blame anyone for skipping this one. I grew up as the son of a Ham Radio Operator and these sounds have always intrigued me.
I want to return to this source material later on, with less focus on drummy rhythms and more on tone blending with noise and timbre juxtapositions. I did that a little here but I want to stretch out and make it a longer study.
one more note: in headphones, this one makes a lot more sense, spatially.

I really like this. Enough to try it out myself, too. I suppose you’ve heard Minoy? https://archive.org/details/MinoySelections1985-8
